TfL
Former New York City Transit Authority President, Andy Byford, has been named as the new commissioner of Transport for London (TfL). He succeeds Mike Brown in July, who is leaving to chair the Houses of Parliament Restoration delivery body.
BAM Nuttall
Have appointed Adrian Savory as its new Chief Executive. Savory is set to take up his new post on 1 June. He succeeds Stephen Fox, who is stepping down to pursue other opportunities. Savory joined BAM Nuttall in 1995 and has been a member of its management board, as Managing Director Infrastructure, since 2017.
Southern Water
Lawrence Gosden joins as Director of Strategy and Asset Management. Gosden leaves Thames Water where he has most recently been Interim Director of Strategy and Asset Management.
Balfour Beatty/Vinci JV
The joint venture working on HS2 have appointed former Skanska Executive Director and eight₂O alliance Chief Executive Officer, Michael Dyke as Managing Director.
East Midlands Railway
Neil Bamford moves internally within Abellio from West Midlands Trains to become EMR’s Engineering Director. Bamford has been Engineering Director at WMT since 2017.
Serco
Wallace Weatherill has been announced as Managing Director, Dubai Metro and Tram. Weatherill has previously spent 3 years as Director of Rail – Saudi Arabia with Serco, and has most recently been Operations Director Doha Metro & Tram at RKH Qitarat.
Laing O’Rourke
Have appointed Rowan Baker as its new Chief Financial Officer. Baker will take up her new global role in September. Baker joins from her role as Chief Financial Officer of retirement community specialists McCarthy & Stone.
Atos
Chris Lewis joins as VP, Sales Director for Transport and Retail. He leaves DXC Technology, where he was Managing Partner & Head of Transport Sector.
Arcadis
Have appointed Nick Jones as Transformational Change Director. Jones has cross sector experience, including having previously worked at National Grid as Head of UK Change.
Jon Bishop also joins as Business Director – Rail North East. He joins from WSP where he has been Group Director, Stations for the last 3 years.
They have also announced that former Housing Minister, Lord Gavin Barwell, has joined as a Non-Executive Adviser to provide strategic advice on construction, housing, placemaking and urban regeneration.
Rock Rail
A appointed a new Partner, James Le Couilliard, to its development team. He will be focussing on rolling stock and rail infrastructure procurement projects in the UK and Australia. Le Couilliard has most recently been Projects and Bidding Advisor for Hitachi Rail.
Amey
Allan Shanks has been appointed as Group HSEQ Director. He joins from Interserve where he has been Group HSE Director since October 2019. Shanks will take over the role from Gary Booton who will be leaving in June.
CrossCountry Trains
John Robson has been appointed as Regional Director West Midlands & North West. Robson joins from West Midlands Trains where he has been Head of Drivers.
Lee Paxton also moves internally to become Network Services Director. He joined CrossCountry in 2018 and has most recently been Customer Services Director.
Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games
Stéphanie McKay has been appointed as Head of Look & Wayfinding. She leaves Heathrow Airport where she was Head of Surface Access Delivery.
Highlands and Islands Airports
Gary Cobb has joined as Chief Operating Officer. He moves from Gatwick Airport where he has been Head of Airfield Planning.
