Our client, a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy, has retained our services to recruit an Operations Director. The role will create operational excellence across a business unit of 2,000 staff. It is fundamental to achieving continued growth and profitability of the consultancy.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement clear operational data and performance metrics to inform and guide business improvement initiatives.
  • Identify, share, and embed best practices to enhance operational efficiency and performance.
  • Lead the professional technical development and knowledge management capability across the division.
  • Oversee and refine the commercial function to support sustained growth, with a strong focus on risk management.
  • Promote and embed a culture of Quality, Safety, Security, and Environmental excellence across all operations.
  • Coordinate with regional and group-level commercial and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Shaping strategies for major opportunities and managing internal agreements with transparency.

Requirements

  • Track record of operationally improving B2B service-led businesses with large professional workforce.  
  • Strong interpersonal and motivational skills, with the ability to unite teams around common objectives and foster collaboration.
  • Exceptional operational insight, with the ability to articulate priorities, resolve conflicts, and align stakeholders effectively.
  • Robust commercial acumen, with a track record of delivering practical solutions, managing risk, and monitoring performance effectively.
