Our client is seeking a visionary Operations Director to lead operations within Scotland. This role provides a unique opportunity to influence strategic growth and oversee the successful delivery of large-scale projects within the energy sector.
The Operations Director will drive our client’s projects across core disciplines including Overhead Lines (OHL), Cabling, and Substations. This includes maximizing their existing portfolio, aligning with safety, sustainability, and financial goals, while fostering a high-performing, inclusive culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance project delivery across multiple sites, ensuring safety, financial, and sustainability targets are achieved.
- Lead and motivate project teams, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and engagement.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with company growth objectives.
- Maintain client satisfaction by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
- Directly manage project directors, operations leads, and a commercial team to ensure cohesive, efficient operations.
- Work closely with senior leadership to drive overall business objectives, supporting work-winning and business development efforts.
Key Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated leadership within a similar project-driven environment, ideally in energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with experience in financial and operational performance management.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to drive safety standards and champion sustainability practices.
