Location: London & Travel to Client Site in Surrey at least one day a week

A leading consultancy is seeking an accomplished leader to take on a pivotal role in the delivery of a nationally significant and hugely complex programme of work.

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing, multidisciplinary environment delivering some of the UK’s most ambitious projects - many valued in the billions.

In this role, you’ll lead cross-functional teams of over 120 professionals across the full project lifecycle - from planning and design through to construction, handover, and operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of a major, complex programme of work with full accountability for time, cost, safety, and quality.
  • Inspire, develop, and manage large multidisciplinary teams, fostering a high-performance culture. 
  • Set strategic direction across programme lifecycles, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement and client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with clients, JV partners, and internal teams.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement across delivery models.
  • Contribute to succession planning and leadership development across the business.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience (20+ years) delivering large-scale, multidisciplinary engineering or infrastructure programmes. Ideally across the project life cycle from design to construction.
  • Strong leadership capability with a proven track record of successfully managing a diverse and challenging stakeholder group, including civil servants and elected representatives. 
  • A deep understanding of infrastructure or complex building delivery in the UK, with a robust professional network.
  • Experience working in collaborative, client-facing roles with responsibility for commercial performance whilst also able to effectively manage clients with cost constraints. 
  • Eligible for UK National Security Vetting (CTC/SC level).
