About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute leader for the role of Group Commercial Director. Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, this high-impact position will be responsible for shaping and executing the commercial strategy, ensuring robust risk management, and optimising governance across all business divisions. 

This role will be pivotal in managing the diverse commercial landscape, driving alignment across divisions while maintaining financial discipline and strategic agility. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a sustainable commercial strategy, overseeing bid management, contract governance, and cost control, and leading high-value negotiations with government bodies and private sector clients.

 

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience:

  • Proven track record in a senior commercial leadership role within Tier 1 Contractors, managing portfolios of significant scale.
  • Extensive experience in contract negotiation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, particularly with government and regulated clients.
  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in cost control, project profitability, and commercial governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business change and deliver operational improvements within a divisionalised structure.
