The company is a well-established and respected M&E contractor who work with many of the UK’s tier 1 construction contractors and Network Rail. Projects typically range between £100,000 to £5m, with a focus on the rail sector. They also have a successful M&E Design ‘Centre of Excellence’, which is growing and profitable. They also manufacture their own turnkey products. They have not had a serious site accident in 20 years. They have a principal contractor’s license from Network Rail, which puts them in an excellent position to take on interesting projects on the UK’s railway.
The Head of HSQE will have full accountability for the Health & Safety function. The successful candidate will enjoy going out to site and having regular visibility to project staff to implement best practice and improve behaviours. The role is responsible for a team of two, reporting into the Operations Director.
This role is suitable for an individual who has HSQE experience of live trackside rail projects, (took out has) strong experience of behavioural safety, and is a firm believer in going out to site regularly.
