The Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) is looking to appoint a new CEO to lead an experienced team representing its members’ interests as an effective voice to government, a trusted adviser to major clients and a strong advocate for best-practice and new ideas.
ACE represents approximately four hundred members with around 100,000 employees providing design, engineering, technical and environmental consultancy services in the built and natural environment. ACE’s members include major global companies, as well as small and medium firms from across the UK.
It works with the leading institutions, cross-industry groups, and public sector clients to nurture a resilient and vibrant sector, providing a platform for its members to demonstrate thought-leadership across range of topics including digital transformation, the carbon transition, skills and inclusivity.
ACE provides a range of tangible business support services and advice to its members, a full programme of events, and publishes Infrastructure Intelligence, the magazine by the industry and for the industry.
The new CEO will be accountable for implementing the three year corporate plan published earlier in 2021 and work with the Board to further build ACE’s reputation as a highly credible and influential voice on topics as varied as post-pandemic recovery, our net zero future, building back better, and regional levelling-up.
This is a high-profile role requiring a mixture of leadership with an entrepreneurial flair; diplomacy and tact with a commercial edge; an ability to invest in and develop people whilst balancing the books in a not-for-profit environment; and above all requires a passion for its members’ work.
