AWE
Alison Atkinson has moved internally to become CEO and Managing Director, following 15 years with the business. Atkinson has most recently been Executive Director, Infrastructure Project Delivery.
East West Rail
Ian Parker has been appointed as Programme Delivery Director. Parker left Costain in May, where he was Managing Director, Transportation.
Simon Scott has also joined as Engineering Director. He joins from KBR, where he has been Director, Transport Infrastructure EMEA since May 2018.

The business consultancy has made two senior hires. Former Atkins Practice Director, Transport Consulting, Mo Kilpatrick joins as Senior Associate and David McLoughlin, formerly of C Spencer and Network Rail, joins as an Advisor.
Carey Group
Steve Regan is set to leave his position as CEO of Careys Civil Engineering. This comes as Carey’s have announced they will be entering a restructuring process as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
RATP Dev London
Marc Sellis joins as Human Resources Director. Sellis was previously Business Change Director and HR Director at train operator c2c.
Rock Rail
David Rose will be joining as Partner in September, he leaves Operis where has been Director of Advisory for the past seven years.
The company have also announced two new hires for its newly formed German business. Hans Leister has been appointed as a member of the Advisory Board alongside Andrew Chivers.
Avanti West Coast
Lizzie Power has been elected to be Avanti West Coast’s first Employee Director, representing the train operator’s staff on the company’s board. Power will step back from her current position as Train Manager, a role she has held for the past six years.
FirstGroup
Have appointed Mike Nelson as Finance and Strategic Development Director for First Rail. Nelson leaves MTR Corporation where he has been Finance Director for the European Business.
Balfour Beatty Vinci JV
Former Sir Robert McAlpine Group Commercial Director, Martin Pitt has been appointed as Commercial Director for the JV’s work on HS2.
Angel Trains
Have announced the retirement of its CEO, Kevin Tribley, on the 1st September 2020, after 21 years with the business. Malcolm Brown, who led Angel Trains for ten years prior to Kevin’s appointment as CEO, will return to lead the business from their majority shareholder AMP Capital.
West Midlands Trains (WMT)
Zena Dent has been appointed as the new Engineering Director. Dent moves internally from her current role as Joint Project Manager (EMU’s) which she has been since 2018.

Jeff Baker moves internally to become Engineering Director. Baker has been with c2c for the last 9 years, most recently as Commercial Manager.
Wates
Jason Knights, Managing Director of Wates’ M&E arm SES Engineering is leaving after 10 years at the firm.
Linbrooke Services
Jamie Sheehan moves internally to become Group Commercial Director. Sheehan has been Head of Commercial for Linbrooke’s rail division since February last year.
Cornwall Airport Newquay
Have appointed Pete Downes as Managing Director. Downes joins from London City Airport where he was Aviation Director.
Flowbird Transportation
Flowbird (formerly known as Parkeon) have appointed Jim Davenport as Director of Projects and Engineering. Davenport joins from Hamble Aerostructures where he has been Senior Programme Manager, and before that he was Programme Director for Cobham.
Structure Tone
Danny Blakeston has been confirmed as the new Managing Director of London operations.
Blakeston joins from ISG where he spent 16 years, most recently as Managing Director of the engineering services business.
