MEICA experience in the water sector was essential. As was experience of running a division or framework for a contractor.
The research was extremely targeted given the narrow brief. Research focused on MEICA contracting companies in the UK water sector, looking for candidates in leadership positions within these organisations.
As candidates were required to have substantial experience in operational management and in the successful delivery of water and wastewater design, we used our internal database system to search for candidates that were known to us.
Beyond this, a targeted examination of the market was carried out. Using relevant connections and other industry networks and events to identify the most relevant candidates.
The location of the role was the main challenge for this assignment. All the shortlisted candidates were outside of daily commuting distance to the Enisca Browne office. As a result, the candidates selected were those who were familiar with working away from home, or who were in the position to permanently relocate.
We were successful in recruiting in a candidate with extensive experience in water and wastewater treatment projects. The successful candidate had worked at Director level for many years, with over 20 years of experience in the sector overall and relocated for the role.
